EHMS-Hayward maintains, repairs and installs complex mechanical systems for commercial, industrial and institutional markets. Our clients include some of the largest manufacturing, commercial real estate, medical and institutional facilities in the area. We offer a wide range of services that include preventive maintenance agreements, repairs, equipment replacement, energy reduction assessments, retrofits, service and installation projects.
Our success can be directly attributed to our dedicated team. We’re fortunate to have the most talented and highly trained union service technicians, pipe fitters and sheet metal workers in the business. We work hard to maintain a culture that fosters innovation, rewards success, reinforces safety and maximizes the collective knowledge of our team. OUR HISTORY
EHMS-Hayward’s roots in the local HVAC and mechanical industry extend more than 30 years to the V.A. Smith Company, one of the area’s oldest and most respected mechanical contractors. In 2014, Richard Carlini acquired the company’s service division and established EHMS Mechanical Services, a premier full-service mechanical contractor and division of All Mechanical Industries. Building on that foundation, EHMS acquired RB Hayward in 2023—a union sheet metal shop founded in 1915 with more than a century of excellence, craftsmanship, and innovation in the greater Chicagoland area. Together, these organizations combine deep industry experience, technical expertise, and a steadfast commitment to customer service, creating a powerful platform for continued growth and long-term client partnerships.
